Open evening

Saint Aidan's holds an annual Open Evening which gives parents the opportunity to visit the school and to see what we are all about. It also gives our students and staff the opportunity to showcase our school and show you just how wonderful we are.

Our next Open Evening is on Thursday 14th September - 6 to 8:30pm.

Open Evening is much more than just a tour of the school or a talk from the Head Teacher, we strive to demonstrate a little of what we do here, which may include science experiments, musical recitals, engineering and computing skills and much more. Also, our Food Technology skills are usually called upon to contribute towards hosting the events, so visitors won't go hungry.

On arrival, visitors are greeted and assigned a student tour guide. The guides are from different year groups so that visitors get a true impression of our school and students.

Comments from parents and staff about the last Open Evening include:

"A very positive evening with a big turnout and a huge amount of positivity from visitors who have come from far and wide."

“Putting on an Open Evening of the quality Saint Aidan’s staff have done after a normal teaching day is an incredible achievement and one I do not take for granted.”

“It was a tremendously successful Open Evening. The students who demonstrated such pride in showcasing our school were brilliant and need to be congratulated on the way in which they conducted themselves"

“The evening was so busy from start to finish and the feedback from the many, many families I spoke to was unanimously positive (indeed, glowing!) It was a day that made me incredibly proud to be a member of the Saint Aidan's family.”

Look out for the date of the next Open Evening which will be available on this page or on the school calendar once it is set.

If you can't make it to our Open Evening, please call the school's reception on 01253 810504 to make an appointment for a tour during normal school hours.
