40 students accompanied by Miss Seville, Mrs Burke, Mrs Cross, Mrs Johnson, Mr Eccles and Mr Rapp left Saint Aidan’s at midnight on 28th March 2015 for Paris.
During our trip, students saw some of the most famous landmarks in Paris.
Day 1 started with a visit to the Eiffel Tower where students enjoyed magnificent views of the city of Paris. From there, we had a whistlestop tour of some of the most famous landmarks in Paris, including l’Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre museum and Notre Dame Cathedral. The day ended with a guided tour of the Stade de France, home to the French national football and rugby teams.
Day 2 took us to Disneyland, where we met some of the famous Disney characters and had a lot of fun on the rides. To round off the day, we had a boat trip on the river Seine, where we took in the final sights of Paris and learnt a little more about the history behind some of the most famous landmarks lining the banks of the river.
It was a fantastic experience for all of our students, as it gave them a unique opportunity to learn more about French history and culture, whilst putting the language skills they have been learning in school into practice.
