South Africa 2014
In August 2014 a group of 4 staff and 20 Saint Aidan's students travelled to South Africa. They stayed at our partner school, Groote Schuur High School and were able to take part in lessons at the school as well as seeing some amazing sights including Table Mountain and some of the "Big 5" in their natural habitats. The trip also included an expedition to Robben Island, a cheetah conservation project and the District 6 museum. Students were able to meet pupils at a primary school in a township area, seeing some of the challenges faced by this wonderful country. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the trip, made new friends and as you will see from the photographs were fortunate enough to see some spectacular scenery and animals! In 2015 a group from Groote Schuur will visit us in Lancashire to continue our learning as global citizens.
