Saint Aidan's Assoc.
The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA or Saint Aidan's Association) is an organisation composed of parents, carers, teachers and staff that is intended to facilitate parental participation in a school. We try to bring together all sides of school life, through social events, supporting school events and activities. We also fund raise with the intention of any money raised is returned to school to buy those little extras which school may not be able to provide at the time.
In the past our Association has raised funds to enable the school to purchase items such as camera equipment, lights for drama, Lego robots, and a skeleton for the Science Department as well as contributing towards new school lockers and the new minibus. This is achieved through a number of events such as the Christmas Fayre, Firework Display, Easter Bingo and Bags for School. It is not just about fund raising.
Where possible we attend school events; we are the ones supplying guests with a cup of tea or coffee. Association events are an ideal opportunity for you to become actively involved in school life meeting not only the school staff and other Association members, but other parents who may become new friends. We can guarantee that you will have a good time, a laugh and the satisfaction of being part of a very friendly team.
Our group is open to anybody. We hold regular meetings, usually on the 2nd Monday of each month in the board room in the Lancaster Suite at 7.00pm. You are more than welcome to attend. Alternatively, if you can support the association at any events, please contact us on:[email protected]
Thank you. We look forward to meeting you in the future.
