Students were all smiles as they collected their GCSE results from Saint Aidan’s, after a nervous couple of months of waiting. It good to see our students getting the great outcomes they deserve, especially given the challenges this generation have faced, not least because of COVID.
High achievers included Matthew Avis, Theo Pears, Carly Platt and Hannah Schwela, who achieved nearly 30 Grade 8s and 9s between them, with others following closely behind.
Headteacher Andy Smith said, “At Saint Aidan’s we want students to develop their skills and knowledge in all sorts of areas, and to be able to contribute positively to the world around them too. The results they have achieved today are an important part of that, and it’s been great to be able to celebrate with them. They all now embark on the next stage of their educational journeys. Whether that be sixth form, college, apprenticeship, armed services or employment with training, we wish them all the very best and look forward to hearing of their future success.”
