This weekend, Year 10’s Logan Porter was at the national championships for WKKC (World Karate and Kick-Boxing Commission) down in Worksop. This competition was to claim a place to represent England for the World Championships that are being held in Portugal this October. Logan’s category was one of the largest sections and this is the first time for Logan in the under 60 kilo. There were 13 competitors in all and the skill level was at such a high standard this year.
Logan had to win two fights to get to the quarter-finals and then walked away with a bronze in the semi-finals, guaranteeing him his spot in the England squad! He will be representing England in points fighting and, hopefully, team points fighting. What a performance!
