Last year’s Year 11 students, including Deputy Head Girl Grace Dunn, received their GCSE certificates and other awards
Thursday, 18th November marked our Senior Awards Evening where the successes of the previous year’s Year 11 students could be celebrated. The ‘Class of 2021’ returned to receive their GCSE certificates, as well as numerous other awards and prizes. Winners included Emily Pickworth, with the Blackpool Sixth Form Trophy, and Olly Winder who won the Blackpool & Fylde College Trophy. Special guest for the evening was former Assistant Head, Mrs Sue Marland, who kindly presented the prizes and gave students some valuable advice for the next stages of their lives and careers. Comparing their journey to the story of a book, Mrs Marland challenged the students to ‘imagine the next chapter’ and then to go and make it come true. All in all, a splendid evening with which to celebrate the fantastic achievements of a truly talented cohort.
