Massive effort for Macmillan!

By
On Thursday, 26th September we held our fourth annual Macmillan Coffee Morning. Our Active Christian Ethics (ACE) Club had organised stalls to sell cakes and sweets, as well as hot and cold drinks. Students from all of our KS3 classes got to spend half a lesson out of their usual class to participate- which they loved. Lots of students (and their parents/carers!) had been busy baking, so we had some fabulous goodies to sell. A huge thank you also has to go to the MFL Faculty who held their ‘European Day of Languages’ cake decorating competition the day before and encouraged students to donate their cakes to the coffee morning. We have raised well over £500, taking the RE fundraising total for the year to over £9,000!
Year 8 Ace Club member Toby said, ‘It was really fun and it was for a great cause.’
Gaby, and member from Year 11 said, ‘All the students loved it and it helped to develop my communication and leadership skills.’
